Rental Rates

After you have completed and returned an application, you will be contacted by our Operations Manager for rental availability and a quote. Non-Profit/Educational organizations may apply for a “mini” grant that partially covers the cost of renting the Rio Grande Theatre.

Rental RatesThe following  rental rates (profit/non-profit) apply for the use of the Rio Grande Theatre.

Additional Rates for Event/Rehearsal Services – Rates for Additional Services as Requested by Lessee or as Determined by the RGT Management: Applies to For Profit and Non-Profit

Additional Lighting Design: $180.00 minimum ($30.00 per hour after 6 hours)
Additional Sound Design: $60.00 minimum ($30.00 per hour after 2 hours)

Additional Rates for Support Personnel Services –  If Council is to provide the foregoing support personnel services the following additional rates will apply: Applies to For Profit and Non-Profit

Setup and Strike Personnel:  $10.00 per Setup and Strike Pers.
Stage Management Personnel:  $15.00 per Stage Management Pers.

Equipment –  For all Events and Rehearsals the following Council equipment will be available for use at no additional charge: (i) hand-held microphones and stands or lapel microphones; (ii) podium/lectern; and (iii) projector and screen.  For all Events and Rehearsals the following equipment is available to rent at the following rates: Applies to For Profit and Non-Profit

Insurance – Lessee shall obtain liability insurance in the minimum of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) for each day of the Event and for each day of the Rehearsal.  Such insurance shall name Council as an additional insured. Council will provide insurance for the Event and/or Rehearsal upon Lessee’s request at the following additional cost to Lessee: 

Cost if Council is to provide insurance to be covered by Lessee: $120.00

Ticketing –  On-line ticketing services may be contracted from the Arts Council.  Council may be contracted only for on-line ticketing services through their account with holdmyticket.com. Applies to For Profit and Non-Profit

Estimated Cost for On-line Ticketing Services to be Covered by Lessee: Cost: $50.00 or 5% of net on-line ticket sales, whichever is greater.

Deposit A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the Total Estimated Rental Fee as set forth upon review of required services is due upon execution of Rio Grande Theatre Rental Agreement. Applies to For Profit and Non-Profit

Deposit Due 50% of Total Estimated Rental Fee for all services required.
