The Doña Ana Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to advancing the arts through inclusive, community-centered initiatives.

We champion artists at all stages of their careers, present dynamic and thought-provoking exhibitions, and offer accessible programs that:

  • Encourage creative exploration and expression

  • Expand access to arts education and engagement opportunities

  • Strengthen community through collaborative and transformative experiences

  • Honor and uplift diverse cultural identities and traditions

At the Doña Ana Arts Council, we embrace forward-thinking curatorial approaches that center innovation, inclusivity, and community voice:

  • Thematic Exhibitions: We present interdisciplinary shows that highlight technical excellence while addressing relevant social, environmental, and cultural themes.

  • Artist-Led Curation: We collaborate with artists as co-curators, supporting creative agency and shared authorship in the exhibition process.

  • Community-Engaged Projects: We develop participatory initiatives that invite community members to contribute to both the making and shaping of artistic experiences.

  • Digital Storytelling: We leverage digital tools and platforms to deepen engagement and expand access to the arts.

  • Experimental Formats: We explore alternative presentation models—including pop-up shows, live performances, and immersive happenings—to reimagine how art is experienced.

The Doña Ana Arts Council is dedicated to lifelong learning in the arts and strengthening the cultural fabric of Southern New Mexico.
