12- week art & cultural series with Kathleen Key
“Art in Italy” is perfect for those who have been to Italy and want to relive the experience and for those who have never been but want to enjoy the best of Italy, and perhaps plan a visit!
Every Monday starting Monday September 9, (skip October 28 and November 4) and end Monday, December 9. 12 lectures!
Time: 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the DAAC Arts & Cultural Center, 1740 Calle de Mercado, Mesilla, NM
Here is the line –up:
Seminars 1 – 4 (September 9, 16, 23 and 30) Rome – 4 lectures –and this would include towns and tourist sights close to Rome like Orvieto and the gardens of Tivoli and Villa d’Este .
Seminars 5, 6 & 7 (October 7, 14 & 21) Florence—3 lectures—every church and most museums in Florence —plus this would include San Miniato, Fiesole, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Perugia, San Gimignano, Cortona, Assisi, etc.
[ Skip 2 weeks; no seminars on October 28 & Nov 4]
Seminars 8 & 9 (November 11 & 18) Venice – 2 lectures and this would include Verona, Padua, Ravenna incredible art in these towns
Seminar 10 (November 25) Naples,Pompeii and Paestum, site of an exquisite temple from ancient times plus towns along the Amalfi coast – 1 lecture
Seminar 11 ( December 2) Milan -1 lecture- including Turin, Genoa, the Cinque Terre and small towns in the north
Seminar 12 (December 9 – last seminar) Sicily!!! 1 lecture and I will include as much art and different towns as I can cover in 90 minutes!

Cost: $120 for series (12 weeks) or $20 for individual seminars
