Tuesdays, February 18 – March 24, from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. (Except NO CLASS on 3/17; moved to Friday 3/20)
Impressionism: Come study with us the history of the artists and the movement we call “French Impressionism” –for many their favorite period in European art! We will begin with the Barbizon artists, Eugene Boudin, Edouard Manet and Edgar Degas moving to Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Frederic Bazille, Alfred Sisley, Camille Pisarro, Berthe Morisot and Mary Cassatt and others.
The time period for this class is 1860 – 1926, the year of Claude Monet’s death. We will study the work of these artists plus the towns and regions of France they were working in such as Giverny, the Normandy coast and the south of France. Come join us for six weeks of beauty, light and fun! Tuesdays 1:30-3 starting on 2/18/20 through 3/24/20. (No class 3/17/20; moved to 3/20/20)
