World Impressionism: The class on “French Impressionism” focused exclusively on artists working in France in the style we call “Impressionism.” In “World Impressionism” we will study the artists around the world who were influenced by Monet and his followers. We will study more than fifty artists and their work in more than twenty countries—making Impressionism truly a world phenomenon! Come join us for fun and beautiful art and art you may never have seen before!—Tuesdays 1:30-3, starting on 5/12/20 through 6/16/20.
This seminar is taught by art historian and world traveler Kathleen Key. In addition to teaching many art history seminars at the Dona Ana Arts and Cultural Center, Kathleen is a professor of art history at the University of Texas at El Paso and the Olli Continuing Education Program at UTEP.
