Courtesy of the Dona Ana Arts Council, this 6-week art history series is now offered at NO CHARGE and moved to on-line via ZOOM.  It will be offered at the same  Mondays 5:30 – 7 pm starting May 4, 2020.  Registration required for Zoom meeting ID and password.  You will receive a ZOOM invitation via email prior to May 4.

Class dates:  May 4, May 11, May 18, NO CLASS on May 25, June 1 and June 8

Gardens of the World with Art Historian Nicholas Dahle.  Nicholas is a graduate student in Art History at the University of Texas at El Paso.  He studies with Kathleen Key, and is highly recommended by Ms. Key to present this series.

For centuries rulers, scholars and common people have used gardens as artistic expressions of themselves and the natural world around them.In this lecture series we will explore various gardens in Europe, Africa, Asia,North America and South America. We will learn how the organization of plants used for food or medicine developed into a highly skilled artform. Discover how gardens were created as incredible displays of power or as peaceful retreats.Come and experience the stunning beauty of gardens around the world.–Mondays 5:30 – 7 p.m.
